Title: Moving filenames in a Category
Post by: bean on April 28, 2010, 06:11:16 PM
Hey

I have another request  ;D

My Advanced Libary has grown to be quite big and I am having problems finding stuff in the libary that I have added.
I don't use "Sort Categories alphabetically" as the vendors are so "nice" to name figures/props and MAT files differently.
So when I added new stuff I add figures first and the MAT files right after so I know the MAT files are just under the figures. But I have also paid for some new addon textures but I can not add them under the figure in the same category as therre is no option to move the filenames/paths.

So the feature I would like to see under Settings, is to move the new files just under the figure file. Selecting multible files and move them where ever I want (up and down) in the list if that is possible?

I don't think I understand what you're doing... Could you give an example? :-)

Ok, I hope this explains better.

A move up/down feature that can move all the red paths up under the green path. That way I can control where the icons are placed in the library.

Sorry, I'm not going to implement that, as the used tree does not support multiple selection and the way you're using the setup options isn't really the way it's supposed to be used ;-) You'd usually add folders and not single files.

You can edit the library_config.xml file to move multiple entries around, though.

Ok, editing the library_config.xml works great. Thanks for the heads up on that :)
