Title: an overall question about what it does
Post by: merlina on October 22, 2006, 08:22:05 PM
I wasn't exactly sure what to search to get this answer - right now I have been using Hogsoft PBooost which does similar things. The only thing is when I go to load things I get doubles sometimes because I don't know realize I loaded them and they are in a different place now. Anyway, my question is does this physically change the locations of the files, and will the library structure within poser itself change?

thanks

No, it doesn't change the physical structure and the library structure inside Poser is not and cannot be changed.

I don't mean the structure with it being separated by figure/pose/prop, etc. I know that can't be changed, but what folders can be (which is does change with PBooost) I didn't know if you mean the same thing since you said it cannot be changed. So it only affects where things reside in this program? Also, can you have Poser running at the same time as this?

thanks

I think I got your question now. No, it doesn't change anything inside Poser, so if you're running a Poser version below 5 and made runtimes with PBoost then you probably can't load items from there (but I don't have a Poser 4/PP version to test that).

That's not why I was asking but that's okay. What I am getting from what you are saying is that I can run poser exactly the structure it was if I don't use this library program. That's all I wanted to know because when you are reinstalling poser and copying all of the files its confusing if they are suddenly in a new place - its also confusing when you can't remember if you loaded something or not because when you try to reload it it won't overwrite it if it has been physically moved. Anyway, thanks I'm going to download and try it now:)

Oh, ok ;-)

Yes, nothing will change inside Poser if You don't manually move it manually with Window's Explorer or such.
