Title: Looking for some help - Beta testers and more for AL Version 2
Post by: Dizzi on November 21, 2006, 07:25:12 PM
Marketing (that's me ;-)) decided that the next version to come isn't 1.1 but 2.0 - it just sounds better ;-)

So as I could really use some feedback for the next two features I'm adding -- one could use some testing, too -- , here's your chance to get listed in the about dialog: become a beta tester for 2.0! :-)

Besides those two new features, V2 will mostly be about finishing all the half done stuff (like reading references from compressed files), adding tooltips, maybe even adding a help file. Well and updating the website to reflect those changes. So a proof-reader for that stuff would be very welcome, too.

Someone with a PC and a MAC would be cool, too, as I'm thinking about checking out Mono to put out a Mac version.

Please post here or use the e-mail address provided in AL's about dialog to apply.

Hi Andreas

I don't have a Mac but I am still willing to be of any help beat testing PC versions and proof reading help files etc.  English is my first language - and I can speak and write it as badly as anyone.
Marketing made a good decision now if production can get together with research and development, GUI design, advertising, etc. then AL will be more than the first class tool it is already today.   Hey, I hope P7 isn't going to change anything too weird in that respect ;)

It's a lot easier when you head up all the departments yourself - believe me.  I went through the agony of taking one of my programs to two marketing companies in the field I was in - talk about fun - and this was a product already being used in schools across the province.

Good luck,
Martin

I'd love to be a beta tester! This application has completely changed the way that I use D|S and Poser. Proof reading the documentation as well as testing the software would be a pleasure!

If you're still looking for ppl to assist with this, I'd be interested. Currently using your SW with Poser7, PC based. I also have 10+ years of experience writing technical manuals, be happy to help proof, too.

I'm currently a bit busy, so no AL 2 beta yet. But you'll be the first to get it ;-)

I don't have a Mac but I wouldn't mind Beta Testing.  I run the beta's anyways. :)

I would like to test this; unfortunately I have no Mac. I have a Linux box if that's any use though. :)
