Thanks, it's always good to know that I'm not the only one using AL ;-)

I have no idea, why Poser and AL block each other, but AL is now giving up waiting on Poser and that seems to work:

General AL Discussion / pp2010 freezes while saving po...
Last post by bean - September 11, 2010, 01:18:05 PM
I have had a problem for a long time now when I try to save poses in PP2010 using AL. When I save a pose I get the Poser window where it asks for the pose name. When I click ok both PP2010 and AL freezes (both programs are greyed out), until I force AL to close. When AL is closed PP2010 starts to respond again and a new window pops up asking in which frame I like to save the pose. I click OK and the pose is saved.
What can course this conflict when trying to save a pose? When I save props it works fine.

Advanced Library has been with me since I started off years ago with Poser 6. It followed me when I took up DS 2, and then DS3 Advanced. And now through Carrara 7 and 8 it's still my preferred way to access my library of 168 gigs of content. Thank you, Dizzi!  ;D

Other / Re: Utility scripts

Script to get Poser to resolve all texture references. Useful to run before using an exporter to another Renderer, e.g. LuxRender.

One script to turn "Show populated" for all hair groups on, one to turn it off.

Other / Dizzi's Camera
Last post by Dizzi - August 17, 2010, 07:14:53 PM
This Python script for Poser 8 and Poser Pro 2010 allows to manipulate the currently selected camera from the viewport by moving the mouse while pressing keys. It differs from the built in shortcuts by providing more useful rotation and an adujustable sensitivity.

Currently, there are two different modes to move the camera:
Mode 1:
  • X/Y-rotate the currently selected camera when pressing Shift and moving the mouse
  • X/Y-translate the currently selected camera when pressing Control/Command and moving the mouse
  • Z-translate the currently selected camera when
    • pressing Shift + Control/Command and moving the mouse
    • rotating the mouse wheel (Poser's viewport must be selected, just hovering over it is not sufficient)
Mode 2 (default):
  • X/Y-rotate the currently selected camera when pressing the middle mouse button and moving the mouse
  • X/Y-translate the currently selected camera when pressing the middle mouse button and Shift and moving the mouse
  • Z-translate the currently selected camera when
    • pressing the middle mouse button and Control/Command and moving the mouse
    • rotating the mouse wheel (Poser's viewport must be selected, just hovering over it is not sufficient)

More detail can be found in the html file inside the zip archive.

It also contains a script to change the settings.

Hampelmann Layout for Sanctum Art's Phenotype Havoc002 alien/demon creature.

Where to install:

Run the show_config_location script that's included with Hampelmann.  E.g. In Poser 8, go to the top menu Scripts >> Hampelmann >> script >> show_config_location

The script will show you the path to the directory where you must copy these files.

Hampelmann / [Layout] Antonia v0.9.1.25
Last post by nukem - August 06, 2010, 02:27:29 PM
I created a Hampelmann layout for Antonia v1.25, a new base female figure in collaborative development project by community members on Renderosity.

There are a number of Antonia versions included in the release archive (v0.9.1.21, 0.9.1.22, 0.9.1.25 and v0.9.1.25a.)  Note: This is only for version 0.9.1.25 of Antonia.  The reason for choosing v0.9.1.25 is that it's the most current version of Antonia that still works with previously released free textures and morph injections.

Where to install:

Run the show_config_location script that's included with Hampelmann.  E.g. In Poser 8, go to the top menu Scripts >> Hampelmann >> script >> show_config_location

The script will show you the path to the directory where you must copy these files.
