Oddness in registration

I tried to register for the forum and was told that any username must include a mix of characters and digits.  But then, whenever I put a digit in my name, I was told it was a "reserved name" and not allowed.  This is a neat Catch-22 and I didn't see a way out.

That's passwords - they need upper and lowercase letters, too. I removed digits from usernames as that prevents some spam bots from registering ;-)
