Port 49160

Hi, I keep getting :

"socket.error: (10013, "Permission denied")
...
prpcdSocket.bind((self.HOST,self:PORT))')
...
Could not create listening socket

Another app is listening on port 49160 and it can't be changed. Is it possible to change the port that prpcd uses? I use Advanced Library and cant see anything in it to alter the port... Does anyone know if it is possible?

Goodness, what a dreadful post, now I come to reread it.

What I meant was. I can edit the prpcd.py scrip to listen on a different port but I can't see a way of changing Advanced Library to call on the new port. Is there any configuration i can edit anywhere? I can't see anything in the Settings.

It's your lucky day, I've planned to make the port configurable and had some time to do it ;-)

Please try Advanced_Library_1_7_1_7

The port reported when the PRPC isn't running message comes up isn't the configured one, but I hope it connects to the configured one ;-)

While i am here can I just thank you for this program. It really is so amazingly good. Poser is well nigh unusable without it. I tell everyone I know who uses Poser about it.

I just wish it had one small thing added... namely the ability to add text files to the "library" to be displayed when double clicked. This would enable the display of the readme for the thing you have just loaded... the program would be perfection itself then!

I actually planned to add user defined file types for 2.0... But I don't really have the time to work on it... But it'll come some day ;-)
