Well, that doesn't help too much :-)

Please send me the exact error message you're getting and the AL_log.txt (from the temp folder).

Yep, other .net stuff works as far as I'm aware.

I'm getting a .NET Runtime 2.0 error in the event log. Can't uninstall .net 2, wont allow me because of other program reliance. Did a repair (I think) but it's still giving me the same error when I install AL.

EventType clr20r3, P1 advanced_library.exe, P2 1.9.2.12, P3 4c746cda, P4 mscorlib, P5 2.0.0.0, P6 4be90358, P7 344a, P8 26d, P9 system.io.ioexception, P10 NIL.

Do other .NET appilcations work?

If not, I'd suggest to remove the .NET framework and reinstall it...

Thanks for the reply. I did change the drive letters (moved my runtimes) a little while ago but I did a full search/replace on the appropriate .xml files and all worked fine.

I was using it without issue immediately before it failed. Closed it down at the end of a session, next time I opened it it gave the error and hasn't run since, nothing that I can think of changed in between.

I have uninstalled it, removed the directory in application data (xp install) and tried re-installing but it gives me the same error when trying to run and even gives an error on the install.

I'm stumped...

You can try to move the setting files (in "%appdata%\Advanced_Library") somewhere else and see if AL starts again.

Did you change your drive letters? If so, you can adjust the paths in the settings files with a text editor.

Have the latest beta but when I try to run it it gives a windows exception error with the dialog stating windows - no disk.

Have tried removing the application and re-installing but gives same error. Not sure if there's some incorrect registry key being left.

Any ideas?

Install (dragging the script onto the Opera Window should be sufficient to do that) the attached Opera Unite script and then enter its URL into the options "dialog" of the marketplace script.

Opera Scripts / Optimize Renderosity Marketpla...
Last post by Dizzi - October 07, 2010, 02:56:40 PM
This script offers some changes to the layout of the product pages of the Renderosity marketplace.

1. All product images from the light box are presented as a long list of images. The list can be collapsed and expanded. (You can optionally deactivate content advisory images in the list.)
2. the product images can be preloaded, so the browser has them cached before you decide to have them shown
3. the data section (price, requirements,...) can be moved on top of the first product image
4. the data section can be optimized as to use less space
5. scrolling down to the product data thus skipping the header can be enabled
6. the (useless) community stuff can be removed (FB, share) to regain lots of empty space
7. the department data can be removed
8. if you've got opera unite you can create a savable version of the rebuilt pages, by entering your opera unite URL and loading the script from the next post into unite.

Remove the ".txt" part of the file extension and save to the correct folder, otherwise the script won't work :-)

Opera Scripts / What are User JavaScripts?
Last post by Dizzi - October 07, 2010, 02:43:17 PM
Quote
User JavaScript allows you to specify local JavaScript files for Opera to include on every page that you visit.

User JavaScript can be used for many purposes, including:

  • Fixing broken scripts on Web pages
  • Enhancing Web pages by changing or adding your own content to the page
  • Controlling what scripts are allowed to run on a page, and what they are allowed to do
  • Simplifying bookmarklets by adding functions they depend on to the User JavaScript

See http://www.opera.com/docs/userjs/ for more details and how to use the scripts.
