Is there a way to specify where AL stores and looks for configuration info?  If not there should be.

No there's no way to change the location. What would that be good for anyway?

Having just set up a moderate library I came here to request the same feature.

The reason would be that in the default location it can be rather buried and so doesn't facilitate being included in my normal backups - I'd like to be able to move it to the usual my documents area if possible.
