Just isnatlled this proggie. It really looks very cool. Havent had the time yet to exactly play with it. Need 2 hours to figure out how to directly load stuff into poser when I realized I was missing the required python scripts. Installed them and it all works quite nicely now. Now I just need to think of getting a good new library structure. The main reason I wanted this was because my library was so large that Poser became unresponsive whenever I switched to another category.

Anyway my question is one about backing up. Once I have made a good library structure - in what file does Advance Library store it and other options? In case my computer crashes or anything so I can have a back up of my library structure on CD.

Also - why going the complicated way with rsr converter? Poser (6 at least) automatically creates the needed image files from any RSR when you view the library in Poser - so it's one very huge rsr converter :)

Thanks for this great proggie!

The configuration is in the "library_config.xml" file stored in {Windows drive}:\Documents and Settings\{User}\Application Data\Advanced_Library.
You open an explorer window with that location opened from within AL. On the latest beta from the Settings / Misc. Tab or via the "Open above location..." button found on the about dialog of older versions

But it's more convinient if you don't have to browse to the folders with Poser ;-). Also DAZ Studio and Carrara won't convert the RSRs...

Ah thanks for telling where I can find the back up files :)

I also installed the RSR converter now. It does crash occassionally. It's indeed a ncie add on though

What I also really like about the proggie is that I can now easily view my library outside of Poser. Often browsing mindlessly through my library often gives me inspiration on new renders :)

I'd suggest to try the latest beta, as it doesn't need Quicktime or the RSR converter anymore. And you can also search and not only filter your content ;-)

If you try 1.0.4.2 you'll probably want to set the background color for the display to white or any other color as it's accidentially set to transparent and that'll make transparent RSRs have the background color of the border color for the filetype... (This sentence probably makes more sence when you've seen what i mean ,-))
