Did you know that the latest AL betas can show the references in Poser files?

Want an old version of AL

Dizzi, would you consider dropping the expiration dates on your betas?  Your new version runs like crap on my computer, keeps hogging ram, takes way too long to minimize the window (comp hangs), causes comp to hang periodically (only for a few seconds at a time but it's annoying).

Thanks.

Which version was the last good working one?

Not sure.  I know it was before ALfP became P7-friendly, but not long before.

Btw, thanks for ALfP, I can't live without it now.  I was in a crappy mood when I posted this thread, sorry for the snarky attitude.

I think it might just have something to do with RAM requirements, and that being a straw for my poor computer's back.  I have a gig of RAM but it's PC2100 DDR SDRAM.  I added a second monitor recently and I think that might be taxing it a bit, or maybe there's a slight hardware conflict or something, because I installed an old version without an expiration date and it was running no better.  I stopped using "keep window on top" and that seems to help a bit, since I don't have to minimize AL all the time that way.

You can try this version: http://neocron.webspaceforme.net/library/installer/AL1_0_6_14.zip
But it may well have to do with the added display.

For me 1.7.1.4 -  I mainly use DAZ Studio and the ability to load directly into DAZ was extremely useful.  Your latest stable version doesn't allow this and I've been pulling my hair out having to rely on DAZ's 'finder' plugin since 1.7.1.4 expired :'(.  Is there any chance of a stable DAZ friendly version soon?  If not please, please can you reactivate 1.7.1.4.  It would make my life so much easier

Loading content into Studio works fine in 1.7.4.1. What's the problem you're having?

Sorry Dizzi, are you saying there's a newer version of AL; 1.7.4.1, or did you just get the digits out of order?  If there is a newer version where do I download it?

My problem with beta 1.7.1.4 is that now when I try to start the programme I get the message: 'Sorry this Advanced Library Beta expired on 31/03/2007, please download a newer beta from http://neocron.webspaceforme.net/library.';  But when I go to the site there is not a newer beta version available so I'm stuck with the latest non-beta, version 1.0.0.6, which doesnt work with DAZ studio.

Obviously you've no obligation to update your betas and I'm really grateful that you've made this really useful programme open source, it's just a bit frustrating having had access to this function not to have it any more.

I meant 1.7.1.4. But that one expires end of august 2007.

Thanks for the prompt reply.  I downloaded it when I first got the message to download the update but it must have been before you changed the expiry date because the version I got generated the same message.  I've just downloaded it again and it works fine.  Sorry about the confusion :-[

You're doing a great job!
