Question about deleting unwanted files

I hope this isn't a stupid question, but sorry if it is. 
I'd like to set up a seperate category for each figure (like you show for Aiko). My poser is set up with most figures in one folder (ie M3, V3, SP3, Mil girls). If I'm adding to my V3 folder, can I delete the other figures? Will it affect my actual Poser files? I ask this, because DAZ|Studio delete things from my hard drive when I tried to delete things from inside the D|S program. Thank you, & so far, an awesome program!

You cannot delete anything on the harddrive from inside AL. If you only want V3 from the folder, you'd have to create a new category inside AL and then drag only the V3 CR2s over instead of the folder itself.

Thank you. I opened Windows Explorer & tried to drag over the cr2's to the settins, but nothing happens. How do I do it?
