Did you know that the latest AL betas can show the references in Poser files?

Import issue into Daz Studio v1.5

I've been using your wonderful app for while now, and you're right - I hardly ever use the built in library menu on Daz any more.

One thing I have noticed which started in the previous versions of AL and Daz Studio is that the import function into doesn't seem to be picked up properly all the time.

On starting both AL and D|S, the import is set to CTRL-I on both.  When selecting an item to be imported the focus is changed to the D|S window but nothing occurs.  Switching back to AL and selecting the item again seems to get the import to function, but on selecting another item the same issue occurs once again, so you end up double double clicking to import anything into D|S.

The resolution seems to be resetting the file import in D|S and then AL seems to link up correctly with it.  I'm not sure if this is related to AL's communication with D|S or just an anomaly in the import function of D|S itself.

I couldn't see anywhere else in the forums that this was mentioned so I thought I'd let you know.

Cheers on a great product and I'm really looking forward to the next release.

As I couldn't reproduce that behavior: Does the import shortcut work in DS when it's not working if invoked by AL?

Ascavilya

It seems to be related to D|S.  Opening the application and using the import shortcut failed, reset the shortcut keys and then it worked fine.

I'll let Daz know about it on their boards as it's something they they obviously need to look into.

I've seen this all along, not just with this version of DAZ. I had a command line app called sendkeys that I tested with and I saw the same results. (don't recall where I got the app, sorry!). It looks to me like D|S discards whatever key is sent during a focus change, but it's not consistent. I'm certain that the problem isn't with AL since it works wonderfully with Carrara.

Thanks edembowski, I'd come to that conclusion myself as well.  Seems that D|S keeps the setting in the configuration but fails to read it properly or implement the keystrokes correctly.  It's a pity as it's a function I use a lot now.  Ah well, it just means I reset the shortcut keys every time I start the app.
